The European Society for Pediatric Osteopathy(ESPO)

  • Disseminates information about the diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of osteopathy, especially of osteopathy for children, informs about recent developments in the field of paediatric osteopathy and aims to foster appreciation and acceptance of osteopathy for children as a method of treatment

  • helps patients in their search for highly qualified osteopaths for children, especially by compiling and regularly updating a list of members/list of therapists for the EU

  • serves the development and growth of an interdisciplinary network to foster cooperation and the exchange of relevant experience between health professionals of all relevant fields in the EU

  • informs the public about the diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of osteopathy, especially of osteopathy for children through targeted public relation- and media work in the EU

  • organises and chairs lectures, round tables, expert discussions and symposia, also for the interested public within the EU

  • Advises parents on osteopathy for children and on the education of their children in matters relating to their health

  • awards scholarships and prizes for outstanding achievements for the benefit of this society according to guidelines which set out what are regarded as such outstanding achievements

  • informs members through regular publications about recent developments in the area of paediatric osteopathy

  • publishes academic and scientific work and findings, organises training and advanced training, study days and conferences within the EU

  • organises own research projects

  • serves the development and fostering of scientific, academic and professional structures of communication to further interdisciplinary cooperation

  • serves the cooperation with osteopaths for children on a national, European and international level to fulfil the objectives of the society
